About Us...

The Ashburton Schools Transport Service was set up to co-ordinate the administration of the daily, school bus services. It has formulated operating procedures which allow for the transport of all enrolled bus students attending schools within Ashburton.

The day-to-day work is carried out by an administrator on behalf of the bus companies involved.  The bus companies formulate the procedures, set the fees, and monitor the systems to ensure they are kept current and fair for all parties involved.

Please Note...

PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN ENROLLED FOR THE BUS SERVICE, IN 2007, DO NOT  NEED TO RE-ENROL.  Please just send an email saying you wish to use the bus service again in 2008.  It is important that you state any  changes to details such as a new school or phone number.

NEW BUS FEES FOR 2007 onwards
Base fee of $50.00 : Rural base fee is $60.00
Prompt payment discounts apply.
Debt collection fees will be charged for defaulted payments

PLEASE NOTE:- DUE TO INCREASING FUEL COSTS FEES MAY RISE DURING THE YEAR.  Any fee increases will only apply to the unpaid portion of fees due.
